Ethan Dwinell

Ethan Dwinell

Cello, Piano

Biography

Growing up in Long Beach, Ethan’s love of music started when he was introduced to the cello at an afterschool program in third grade. After becoming fascinated with the instrument, he began private lessons that year, and would later get accepted into the Long Beach All-District orchestra. This would be the first of many Long Beach music-related programs he would surround himself with, as he would continue the All-District Orchestra through middle and high school, get accepted in the Cerritos Chamber Music Institute, volunteer at the Long Beach Harmony Project, and perform every year in the Long Beach Solo/Ensemble Festival. Near the end of his time at Long Beach Polytechnic High School, he would perform in a masterclass with Joshua Roman and play alongside the Long Beach Symphony in a concert with the Long Beach All-District Orchestra.

Currently, Ethan is studying at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University Long Beach under LA Philharmonic member Dr. David Garrett and is a part of the various ensembles and their symphony orchestra.
