Biography

Amecie Lublin graduated at University of California, Irvine with a Bachelors degree of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Choreography and a minor in Biological Sciences. Amecie started dancing at the age of 4 at Southern California Ballet. She trained under the Cecchetti Ballet method and took exams from Grades 3-10. Her mentors included, but not limited to Sylvia Palmer-Zetler, Martha Leebolt, and Tobias Bately. She performed countless productions, including, but not limited to The Nutcracker, Coppélia, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Peter and The Wolf, and Sleeping Beauty. She first was a member of the SCB academy and then selected to become a dancer for SCB Pre-Professional Dance Company. She has traveled around the country dancing at Marin Dance Theatre, Cal Arts, and the University of Utah. She has worked under Gregory Dawson in a set pas de deux and corp de ballet. During her time at UCI, she has choreographed three works that have been presented at the school. “Diamonds a Dozen” was her first ballet piece that was selected and presented at the Barebones annual performance. “Splash” was a contemporary ballet piece presented at Physical Graffiti Online, UCI’s annual spring dance performance. “when the plot Thickens” was a contemporary ballet piece presented at her BFA Senior Thesis Concert, “A Subtle Paradox”. While pursuing her dream as a Choreographer, she has found a love for teaching. She started teaching at Southern California Ballet before she graduated high school. She then joined “Shining Stars” an organization that creates dance outreach programs for children that promotes artistry and higher education. She taught ballet during their summer program of 2019. She then continued with teaching at different dance studios to children all over Orange County. She is excited to join the staff of OC Musica and teach the love and artistry of dance.
