Description

Students will learn the following practical and important skills in a fun and supportive environment. Class size is capped at maximum 6 students so that each student will get personal attention, guidance, and support in learning these fundamental musical skills and creating a strong foundation for the continuing musical journey.

Reading skills - read - write

• Recognize notes in treble and bass clef with speed and confidence
• Elementary note writing skill
• Elementary sight singing

Rhythm skills

• Drumming from simple to complex rhythm
• Counting beats
• Writing simple rhythmic patterns

Once children have achieved a certain level of proficiency in music reading (notes & rhythm) they will have more confidence practicing at home. They will practice longer and more often, with a better feeling  of satisfaction and achievement.

• Recognize major/minor keys and chords
