2. The Corps: 2 Classes Per Week - $125 (Additional $32 for each 1.5 Hour Class(es))
3. The Soloist: 3 Classes Per Week - $165 (Additional $28 for each 1.5 Hour Class(es))

5. The Prima: 5+ Classes Per Week - $235 (Additional $20 for each 1.5 Hour Class(es) & 3 Month Commitment Required)

Parent Responsibilities

Garden Dance Centre is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Parents with students under the age of 5 are asked to remain in the school during classes. We are not responsible for unattended children. Please do not leave your children unattended in our facility.

Please be available to pick up your child at the end of their lesson, as scheduled.

Tuition and Payments

New students will receive via email an invoice for the tuition fee and registration fee after the registration form is successfully submitted and your lessons are scheduled. For subsequent months, invoices are sent out via Square, a week before the due date.

A card on file via Square will be required. We accept cash, check, and credit card payments. For convenience, there is an autopay feature via Square.

Due Dates and Late Fees

New students upon registration will pay a registration fee of $30 ( $25 for each additional sibling). As a recurring student, there will be an annual $15 registration fee on August 1st. For new students that register in June or July, they will not be required to pay the annual registration fee until the following year, if they are a recurring student. To qualify for a discounted registration fee, students must be enrolled in at least one class. If the student takes more than a one month break in a consecutive time period, they will be considered a new student and will have to pay the new student registration fee to re-enroll. Students will be allowed a maximum of 2 one month breaks (not consecutive) to qualify for discounted registration fee.

Registration fees and initial tuition fees (for new students) are due at the time of the first official lesson (not including free introductory lesson). The first month of lessons will be pro-rated to the cost of lessons taken that month.

The tuition payment is due by the first day of the month (ex. October tuition is due by October 1st). Late charges $15 are applicable if payment is not received by the 5th of the month.

If the late payment is not received by the 7th of the month (7 days overdue), GDC will charge the required card on file of monthly tuition and late payment fee.

Dress Code

Garden Dance Centre reserves the right to cancel any class with fewer than four (4) enrolled students. We will refund any tuition and materials fees when a class is canceled.

We reserve the right to shift students into classes of appropriate levels if the registered class does not match ability.

Ballet - Dress Code

Uniform color is required on weekdays. On weekends, it is freestyle and level based color is not required. However, leotard, tights, and clean hair updo is still required.

• Ballet 1 - Light Blue Leotard, Ballet Pink Tights, Ballet Pink Shoes, and Clean Hair Updo (not ponytail/braids)
• Ballet 2 - Light Purple Leotard, Ballet Pink Tights, Ballet Pink Shoes, and Clean Hair Updo (not ponytail/braids)
• Ballet 3 - Burgundy Leotard, Ballet Pink Tights, Ballet Pink Shoes, and Clean Hair Updo (not ponytail/braids)

Jazz - Dress Code

• Form Fitting Attire, including but not limited to, T-Shirt/Tank Top/Sports Bra and Spandex Shorts/Biker Shorts/Leggings/Joggers. Jazz Shoes and Hair Up

Etiquette

TARDINESS

Dancer must arrive at class on time. If a student is later than 10 minutes, the dancer will sit and watch the class. The first 10 minutes are crucial warm up time. Stretch exercises prevent injuries.

NO TALKING

No talking during class.
Talking means that you are not hearing what the teacher is saying.
Listening carefully is a critical part of the learning experience.

RESPECT

All students should have respect for their teachers and classmates. They should listen when their teacher corrects another student as the suggestion may also apply to them. Students should NOT correct each other.

Attendance

Tuition will not be adjusted for any absence.

Regular attendance is important for a student's success. Dance students with inconsistent attendance and not following class recommendations will not progress as well as those who attend classes consistently and may not advance to the next level at the same pace as other students. Consistent class attendance (2 max absences per class) and attendance at dress rehearsal are mandatory in order to participate in recital.

Group Class: There are no refunds for missed class(es). Missed class without notice is forfeited and there will be no makeup. Students will need to be enrolled in at least one class to be able to use makeups.

Private Lessons: A missed lesson with less than 2-hour notice will be considered a "No Call/No Show" meaning the lesson will still be billed. If a lesson is canceled with more than 2-hour notice, rescheduling is no extra charge.

Teacher Unavailability

GDC reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If the school cannot arrange a substitute, any missed classes will be rescheduled, if it is possible based on student and teacher availability, or provided a makeup.

Prior notice will not be given to the student, if a substitute teacher is used.

GroupMe

Garden Dance Centre will use GroupMe as a main form of communication for announcements, updates, questions, and comments. This can be used to contact other parents or contact teachers directly. If you do not make an account, you will miss important information.

Credits and Refunds

There are no refunds for class(es) missed due to holiday, vacation, illness, weather, etc. (see makeup policy above).

Discontinuing Lessons

2 weeks notice is required for permanent cancellations or taking a break of lessons. Please inform us via email. Please let us know the reason you'll be discontinuing lessons and the date of the last planned lessons. If applicable, please also include the date of return. At that time, we will make sure there are no outstanding balances on your account. Any outstanding balances on your account must be paid at or before the final lesson. If not paid, a card on file will be charged 7 days after the last lesson.

If a student needs to quit immediately, due to extreme circumstances, final payments and outstanding balances are due at the time of resignation. If not paid, a card on file will be charged 7 days after the day of resignation.

Video/Photo Consent

Garden Dance Centre takes photos and videos at our location as well as at recitals and other events. By agreeing below, I grant Garden Dance Centre my permission to use photos and videos of myself and my minor child, for any legal use, including but not limited to: publicity, copyright purposes, illustration, social media, advertising, and web content. Furthermore, I understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.

Release of Liability

Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on school property resulting from normal lesson activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after lesson time.
