Lauren Anderson

Dance teacher

Lauren was born and raised in Carlsbad, CA where she began her artistic journey at age 5 in tap class. She fell in love with dance right away and expanded her training to ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, and hip hop at a local competition studio. Here she competed various solos, duets, and group dances at numerous competitions. While continuing her dance training, she started assisting her teachers at age 12 and teaching classes herself at age 15. During this time Lauren developed a strong passion for teaching and helping children.

After graduating high school, she attended Chapman University where she currently is working towards her B.F.A. in Dance Performance and a minor in Integrated Educational Studies. Here, Lauren is preparing for her artistic journey in the professional dance world. She has spent her summers attending intensives with companies such as Joffrey Ballet School, Entity Contemporary Dance, and Royal Flux. Lauren has a strong eagerness for movement and enjoys training and taking dance classes on a regular basis.

Lauren loves using her deep appreciation for dance and learning to inspire and support children of all ages, and plans to integrate teaching into her career for the rest of her life.
