Biography

Stephanie Smith has always had a strong love of music starting at a young age. At the age of nine she began performing in choirs and community theater musical productions, and through both she found her passion for performing. In the years 2018, 2019, and 2020 she participated in the High School SCVA Regional and ACDA All-State Honor Choirs, and in 2019 attended a two-week choral intensive at the Idyllwild Arts summer program. She was involved in the leadership board of her choir throughout all of high school, and was president of choral activities in her senior year.

Stephanie is currently studying to receive her BM in Opera Performance at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University Long Beach, and is a Soprano section leader for the University Choir under Dr. Jonathan Talberg. In the Spring of 2022, she was excited to participate in her first opera "Le Nozze di Figaro," and looks forward to performing in many more operas as her career advances. She currently studies with Dr. Steven Kronauer, who has become an inspiring mentor to her in her years at the BCCM. She hopes to inspire the same love and passion for music that she contains in all of her future students.
